Apropos of nothing...

I've gotten two splinters recently, both from my ratty Barcroft hockey stick. Both of them have lodged beneath the skin in my fingers. I managed to partially remove both of them and then sort of lost interest. They didn't really hurt and I don't like needles, so I just left them alone...or thought I had. My body conspired to remove them for me! Dead skin accumulated around the little tiny splinters and I just scratched it, and THEM off! Isn't that weird? I am a healing machine!
